“Hishaku Sashitooshi” refers to a decorative ladle used in special tea ceremonies like the Nagaita-sogazari and Daisu, where the handle (e) is completely inserted through the scoop (go), and the end of the handle (kiridome) is cut straight. It is displayed upright in a shakutate (ladle stand).
