It has a very beautiful tiger stripe pattern, a rich color, and is said to produce a very good sound. I was told that the wood quality is better than recent Eastman models. Unlike cheap violins with only surface tiger striping, the pattern is visible on the back through the f-holes. I purchased it about 10 years ago and used it primarily for about a year. It was only used indoors in a classroom. When stored, I used a dehumidifier, and as instructed by the classroom, I played it a little every few months to six months. For this sale, I had a violin workshop inspect the condition in January 2025 and confirmed the following: No glue separation No scratches requiring varnish repair (I couldn't see any scratches even subjectively) No problems with the bridge or sound post The bow hair and strings should be replaced (I haven't replaced them) The zipper pull on the outer pocket of the case is partially broken, but the zipper still functions. Shipping will be done by wrapping the case in bubble wrap and cardboard, and also loosening the strings and protecting the bridge area with bubble wrap.
