There is a small area where the base color appears to be chipped, but glaze is applied to that part, so it is not a chip (see image 3). The white part on the back has scuff marks and dirt. 【Description】 This is a valuable item from before Okinawa's reversion to Japan. Okinawa Haiden Co., Ltd. was established in 1953 by Kotaro Kokuba, the founder of Kokuba Gumi, and was absorbed into Okinawa Electric Power Co., Ltd. in 1976. The Ryukyu Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation also issued "Okinawan Pottery (supervised by Shoji Hamada)," and this area seems to have been involved with the folk art movement and Yanagi Sōetsu. Indeed, the rabbit on this plate, while seemingly amateurish, has a strangely captivating and appealing expression.
