A comfortable and stylish kimono made with intricate kasuri (ikat) patterns and weaving techniques. That is "Oshima Tsumugi." Oshima Tsumugi is a "pre-dyed woven fabric." The pre-dyed yarn has impurities removed, resulting in a high-density and strong yarn. Also, mud-dyed Oshima Tsumugi undergoes a dyeing process of 120 times using "sharinbai (Japanese hawthorn)" and "mud," so it is said to have the "highest fastness in plant dyeing."
