This shoehorn is made of Japanese birch (Onorekanba), a wood so hard it can break an axe. It's sturdy. The actual color is a bit lighter. I bought it at a department store craft fair. It's a work of art. It slides smoothly, and the curve that hits the heel is exquisite, making it very easy to use. There are some small scratches on the handle. I'm selling it because I have two. Approximately 4cm x 32cm.
