This is a large plate with a scrolling arabesque design, a type of "Yachimun" pottery from Okinawa. I received it from an acquaintance about 20 years ago, and I believe it is a piece by Mr. Miyagi of the Kitagama kiln in Yomitan Village. Diameter: Approximately 40cm Height: 7.3cm (Depth 5.5cm) Weight: 3kg It has a gentle color and a rustic feel, with the hand-carved design clearly visible. While it may be too large for everyday use, I think it can be used for interior decoration or as a vase for flower arrangements. There is a hole in the foot, allowing it to be hung on a wall. (Although there is a hemp string in the photo, I will not include the string as I cannot guarantee its safety.) It seems that the production of large plates has decreased in recent years, so I believe this is a rare size. For those who understand the characteristics of Yachimun, thank you for your interest.
