Because the fabric is thick, it becomes even thicker when folded, but it is durable and gives a sense of security. I put it in my commuter bag for daily shopping. The good points of cloth eco-bags are that your hands don't hurt even when they get heavy, and if it gets dirty, you can wash it in the washing machine, shape it and hang it to dry, and it's OK.
