This is a limited edition Moomin mug, with only 5,000 pieces sold on Moomin Day in 2023. Platinum plating is applied to a part of the illustration, and a serial number is printed on the back of the mug. This mug is not available for regular sale and is only available through a lottery, making it a rare find. I had a friend in Finland purchase it on my behalf. The serial number is a three-digit number. This Sea Breeze Platinum version is only available to those selected through an online lottery. This Moomin mug Sea Breeze Platinum has several differences from the regular mug. One of them is that platinum plating is applied to a part of the illustration (horseshoe and oar). Also, the bottom of the mug has a platinum-plated Arabia 150th anniversary stamp. Furthermore, each mug has a serial number, which is also added to the bottom of the mug. The illustration is taken from Tove Jansson's novel "Moominpappa at Sea." In the story, Moominpappa takes the Moomin family away from Moominvalley and moves to a small island with a lighthouse. This illustration was also designed on the stationery that Tove Jansson used when replying to fan letters at the time. Both are printed with beautiful blue ink illustrations on a white background. In addition to various popular characters from Moominvalley, the beautiful scenery of the small island, including violets, wild roses, and seashells, is captured.
