The locomotive runs on two size-D batteries, and the headlight also works (batteries not included). As it is old, we do not guarantee future operation. The rubber on the wheels has deteriorated, so it has not been run on tracks. There are chips in the connecting parts of the curved rails and the circle point, one each. The left lever of the return control rail is broken (image 14), and there are no fragments. The trees (conifers) are missing. The silver paint on the rails is peeling. The box is deteriorated, with tears, chips, and stains. This is a layman's inspection, so please forgive any oversights. This is a used item that has been stored at home for a long time.
