This is a silk crepe kimono with a katazome (stencil-dyeing) pattern. It features a chrysanthemum arabesque design, with a soft, reddish-brown base color accented by light blue and pink. It has a bat-wing collar. Measurements: Length from back of neck: 147cm 裄 (sleeve length from center back): 63cm Sleeve length: 49cm Front width: 24cm Back width: 28cm The lining (胴裏) is a yellowish color, which I suspect is due to discoloration. However, it's so uniform that I'm not sure if it's the original color (see photo 5). There are faint stains on the sides and the outer side of the left sleeve (photos 6-8), and a few small spots on the lining of the skirt (八掛) (photo 9). None of these are very noticeable. If you don't mind them, it's a carefully dyed piece, and the colors of the skirt lining and sleeve cuffs are lovely. It's a kimono that would be perfect for a modern, cute coordinate, like those seen at Otsuka Gofukuten. I was planning to use it for an obi, but I don't have the time, so I'd like to sell it.
