A few months ago, I made a tote bag for my grandchild's baby shower, and I was told that it's easier to use without an inner pocket, so I've been experimenting and finally arrived at this size and shape. It's simple. It has a good gusset, so you can throw anything in it. Something is a little different each time I make one. The size, the length of the handles, the color of the sewing thread for the stitching... something is different every time I make one. Something happens (lol). I made the handles long enough so you can carry it on your shoulder even when wearing a jacket, perfect for the coming season. I've added a pocket on the outside, on one side only. There are no inner pockets. I've attached a D-ring inside. I've used a soft type of interfacing, so it stands up on its own, even without anything in it. Sort of!
