My daughter says she doesn't use it anymore. There are some places where it's threaded. I don't see any deformation in the parts that are shaved. Convenient for grating hard cheese into powder to sprinkle on salads, pasta, pizza, and gratins. The handle can be hung on a hook for storage, so it doesn't take up much space and can be easily taken out and used. The simple stainless steel design is durable and easy to clean.
