I used them as overpants for winter motorcycle rides. They have some padding and the material is soft, making them easy to move in and warm. The waist is elastic and also has a belt-like feature for adjustment. The hems can also be tightened with a drawstring to prevent them from touching the ground. There is a small fray on the zipper area of the waist. Please refer to the photos. The color is black. As you can see in the photos, there are some areas that appear reddish depending on the light.
