Although quite old, the Fujifilm FinePix S8000fd was a great camera because it ran on four AA batteries. I fell in love with photography thanks to this camera and bought a single-lens reflex camera, so I kept it as a sub-camera, but I haven't used it in a while, so I'm getting rid of it. It has 18x optical zoom and a super macro function that allows you to get as close as 1cm, which is more convenient than my current single-lens reflex camera, lol. However, the only reason I switched to a single-lens reflex camera was because the shutter speed, which takes about a second to take a picture after pressing the button, was annoying, which is typical of digital cameras of that time. When I put batteries in it for the first time in a while, it worked properly, but the date was reset, so the built-in battery is probably dead. There was a slight flicker on the LCD screen, but there was no problem when taking pictures. I've uploaded some photos, but it's hard to tell in still images. I think it's probably a contact failure due to dust, so it might be fixed by opening it up and cleaning it with air, but I don't have time for that. It has various functions, but I haven't checked them all, so I'm selling it as junk. I was able to take pictures, and I was able to save them to the memory card. The camera itself has no scratches or mold on the lens, and no battery leakage. It's in good condition except for the occasional flickering. I've taken pictures of the LCD screen with fine scratches, but that's because I have a protective sheet on it, so it will be shiny if you remove it. Accessories include a soft case, instruction manual, 2GB SD card, and I'll even include batteries. So you can use it right away when you open the box. It has more than enough features for a child's first camera. How about it as a starting point? Resellers, please refrain from purchasing.
