This is a wooden cat figurine I bought years ago from an Asian-style folk craft shop. I liked that it wasn't cute. In ancient Egypt, cats were revered by people as gods and were very important beings. This wooden cat carving somehow resembles the ancient Egyptian cat statues depicted in murals. It feels noble and solitary. I wonder if it will become a guardian deity of the house if I display it at home...? It seems to have spiritual power... I wish it did...
