This is a large, artist-made Bizen ware plate. It's thick, large, and has considerable height, making it a Bizen piece with a powerful presence. The thickness of the rim is about 1.2 cm. In my subjective opinion, the actual piece is a bit brighter in color than the photos suggest. It's a magnificent large plate with a lot of character.
