I purchased this about six months ago and used it as a toy box after washing it with detergent. There are scratches overall. There are many scratches inside as well. There are also black stains in several places. As shown in the fifth photo, there were scratches like these originally. I wiped it down with a sheet at the end, so there are marks left from wiping.
