The obi fabric used is a high-quality item with beautiful hikihaku (foil-pulling) and shimmering raden (mother-of-pearl inlay). It comes in a box. I received this as a gift, so I don't know when it was purchased. The underside of the thong is made of leather and shows no significant deterioration or stickiness. There are some scuffs and minor stains from use on the sides and underside, but otherwise, it is in good condition. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details.
