This is a set of a mini bowl and spoon by Ryuji Mitani. I purchased it about 30 years ago at an exhibition of Mr. Mitani's work at Wasarabi in Jiyugaoka, along with other items. I occasionally used them for spices or salt, but mostly enjoyed them as decoration. Despite their small and cute appearance, they have a certain sense of stability and a relaxed feel when placed, and can also be enjoyed as objects. I believe the material is mountain cherry. The undulating pattern of the mountain cherry is also beautiful. The balance of the slightly relaxed mini bowl and spoon is very stylish. Wooden tableware has the power to gently enhance the dining table. The mini bowl can of course be used on its own. Diameter: 8cm Height: 3cm Spice spoon: 7cm Currently, this size of spice spoon is rarely made. It's a rare item. The balance is lost whether it's too long or too short.
