A kill switch is a device that mutes the guitar's sound only while the button is pressed. It allows you to play like John 5, Buckethead, and Kaylie Caswell. As a side note, the kill switch technique used by Tom Morello (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE) requires sound only while the button is pressed, so this unit cannot be used for that purpose.
