Warning: Extremely loud! This is the M-50, a higher-end model of the Morales LYRE BIRD, a Martin D-35 type. Likely made in 1977, it's an extremely rare and hard-to-find model that's rarely seen on the market. The top is a single piece of spruce with a beautiful, transparent, rippling appearance. The sides and back are constructed of rosewood and tone wood with beautiful wood grain. The back is three-piece, just like a D-35. The sound quality is closer to a D-28. The neck is mahogany, with a diamond volute. The headstock veneer is jacaranda (probably). The neck block has been carefully treated, making it a high-end specification. The tuners have been replaced with what appears to be Grover 102G (but isn't). They look gorgeous along with the jacaranda on the headstock. What's particularly noteworthy is the incredible resonance. The low frequencies that you feel in your stomach and hands, the depth of the overtones, and the brilliance of the high frequencies. The sound quality is also excellent, and it's incredibly loud. It's a level of resonance that's unheard of in this class, and even in higher-end models. Please, by all means, try putting on some good strings. (Bronze might be the best) Once you hold this in your hands, ordinary guitars will make you sad. Furthermore, a spruce patch has been applied from the back. It probably won't be noticeable at a glance. There have been no changes or problems for a month after the repair. The fingerboard and bridge have been cleaned and treated with orange oil. The body and neck have been cleaned and polished with KEN SMITH PRO FORMULA POLISH for musical instruments.
