Fender Custom Shop '69 Pickup + Assembly. These are hand-wound Custom Shop '69 Strat pickups made by Abigail Ybarra, who made pickups from 1958 until her retirement in 2013. They use gray bobbins, which were used in 1969, and the back of the bobbins are signed with Abby's initials "AY" and the date of manufacture. They are hand-wound by Abby using enamel-coated magnet wire, just as she did back then. Compared to black bobbins, these have a lower output, resulting in a wide range that covers everything from cutting tones to legendary rock sounds when paired with Marshall amps and the like. Removed from a 2006 Custom Shop Stratocaster, they have natural aging on the pickguard and pickup covers. The pots are CTS, the selector is a OAK 5-way, and only the capacitor has been changed to a vintage Circle D 0.05 50v.
