This item was sold by Ripekan. Purchased on August 25th. This is a barrel that allows you to play an Eb clarinet with a Bb clarinet mouthpiece. The tone becomes closer to that of a Bb clarinet, eliminating the characteristic shrillness of the Eb clarinet, and making high-note control much easier. It has only been used a few times to test the sound, so it is in almost new, excellent condition. The following is a transcription of the product description from the sales site: This is a barrel for playing an Eb clarinet with a Bb clarinet mouthpiece. Made of grenadilla wood. Some intonation issues may arise in certain registers. This barrel is designed to connect the mouthpiece (for Bb clarinet) and the upper joint (Eb clarinet) as directly as possible. Depending on your instrument, there may be a slight gap between the mouthpiece and the barrel, or between the barrel and the upper joint. Photos 3-6 were borrowed from the sales site.
