A luxurious black formal kimono for the discerning connoisseur!! This tomesode (formal black kimono) is tailored with fuki-wata (padding). Seasonal flowers are depicted within the shiki-gami (paper with a poem) patterns, layered and interspersed with shibori (tie-dye) patterns to create a soft and elegant design. This is a very refined and tasteful black tomesode. It has a distinguished and luxurious feel that makes it clear it's a personal garment at first glance. If you are an mother of the bride or groom preparing for a wedding this winter or spring, or perhaps a nakodo (matchmaker), which are becoming less common these days, how about it? I love it very much, but I'm hesitant to have it remade because the size no longer fits, so I'm offering it to someone who appreciates it. Both were purchased from a familiar kimono shop. The tomesode cost around 700,000 yen to tailor. ◾︎Suitable for those approximately 155cm to 166cm tall. ◾︎There is some staining on the collar of the kimono, a small stain on the outside of the right sleeve, and what appears to be wax from a candle on the outer side of the right cuff.
