This is a custom piece based on the "Godzilla vs. Evangelion Popcorn Bucket" that was sold in limited quantities (100 per day, 5,000 total) at USJ in 2019 and is now difficult to obtain. It features an LED light-up gimmick in the eyes and a full repaint. The eyes can be switched on and off with a toggle switch on the back of the body, illuminating in two colors: normal (yellow) and berserk (red). It also comes with a high-quality black wooden base that secures the body and also houses the battery compartment. The power source is a 9V battery, which can be easily replaced from the base. *Batteries are not included. For this project, the item was completely disassembled, each part was separated to install the lighting, and then each part was painted before being reassembled. This popcorn bucket is formed without using a single screw, relying on a complex structure and adhesive reminiscent of Kumiko, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique, making disassembly and reassembly a very time-consuming process. In addition, the seams on the eyes and back were filled with putty, and the USJ logo was removed to prevent light leakage and bring it closer to the image in the movie. While I have previously listed this item with only a repaint, this is the first time I have added lighting effects. Compared to simple painting, the process includes disassembly, reassembly, lighting effects, and gap filling, increasing the production time by about 5 times. Therefore, the price is set higher, but this is the only time this highly detailed finished product will be available. Regarding the painting, it was inspired by the Kiryu that appears in the movie, with realistic weathering applied. The popcorn bucket has never been used for popcorn, so there is no dirt or smell, and you can display it with confidence.
