This is a modified YAMAHA YTR-8335G (4th generation, latest model) with a Bob Malone-designed lead pipe (commonly known as the Malone pipe), which is used in the NY model. The instrument has been used very little and is in excellent condition with no dents. The instrument's features include: * Excellent response * Direct response to breath * A core sound that is easy to control It is also a custom model with a single brace, which is a perfect match for the Malone pipe and provides excellent response. On the other hand, the tone is not overly bright and can be sufficiently controlled by breath speed and angle, making it suitable for classical, concert band, and orchestral repertoire. It is versatile enough to handle various genres, including: * Big band / Pops / Studio work * Concert band * Classical music in general I believe this is an instrument that "can be used on the job, but still produces a singing tone." I am selling it because it is slightly different from my musical style and usage environment, but it is a highly complete and versatile instrument.
