I bought this used, but the size didn't fit, so I only tried it on. Since it's used, I've marked it as having some scratches and dirt, but there are no stains. I love and trust Patagonia for mountain climbing and climbing. The Capilene is made of Polartec fabric, so I think it wicks sweat well. For low-mountain hiking, from autumn to early winter, I wear this Capilene over a merino long-sleeved base layer, and if it's windy, I'll wear a thin vest. My metabolism is too good, and I get hot quickly when climbing, so I roll up my sleeves and fully unzip the chest zipper to let out sweat so I don't sweat too much. When I stop for a break, I get cold, so I zip up the zipper and lower my sleeves. I'm afraid of getting chilled by sweat in the fall.
