It can accommodate large congratulatory envelopes, so it can also be used as a kinpū fukusa (ceremonial envelope wrapping cloth). Fukusa signifies empathy for the recipient's feelings, so it can be presented together with a gift for celebrations such as coming-of-age ceremonies or entrance ceremonies, and it will be greatly appreciated.
