It is made of porcelain, not earthenware, so it is thicker than earthenware and therefore more resistant to breakage. It can also be used in the oven and microwave, making it suitable for everyday use. It is a long-selling tableware in Nordic homes. The tea cup is the perfect size for a soup cup. In my home, I often use it as a miso soup bowl.
