This is a clay teapot purchased several years ago from a Shigaraki ware pottery. I disposed of the original box, and I couldn't confirm the maker's name on the item itself. I intended to use it carefully only when guests visited, but there is a chip on the spout where the glaze has peeled off (see image 4). Please consider this before purchasing.
