Size: Diameter 8.3cm, Height 6cm Oribe-yaki began around 1605 (Keicho 10) in the Momoyama period, near Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, and was mainly produced in the Mino region until the Genna era (1615-1624). It is a type of Mino ware, and was basically made after Shino ware. "Kannyu" (crackle) refers to a crack-like pattern that appears during the cooling process after the pottery is taken out of the kiln.
