I've relisted this item, reducing the price by changing the SSD to 256GB. I've previously upgraded the CPUs of several models in this same PC series to Core i7-4702MQ. I still use one of these as a sub-machine every day. Regardless of battery capacity or wear, the battery life is short, so it's not suitable for mobile use. To prevent battery degradation, I've limited the charging capacity to 80% using a dedicated utility. The only differences between the models in this series are the LCD panel and the motherboard; the chassis is the same. The LCD on this PC is not an IPS panel, but the viewing angles are wide, and the difference is hardly noticeable. The response is smooth and comfortable on all units after the CPU upgrade. The images are beautiful, and the text is very easy to read. As a heat対策 for the laptop, I've cleaned the fan and applied grease to the bearings, and I've set the system cooling policy to passive and the CPU usage to 98% in the power management settings. I performed a clean install of the latest Windows 11 25H2 at the time of the SSD change. Chrome and Edge are pre-configured. The favorites bar, taskbar, and start menu are also set up for easy use. The NX Pad touchpad driver for this model is not compatible with Windows 11, but the Synaptics driver provides equivalent functionality. You can enable/disable the touchpad from the taskbar icon. The touchpad is responsive and easy to use. There are only minor scratches on the top cover, and there are no noticeable scratches or stains. This PC is the only one that has a DVD drive. It is currently operating normally, but I will only cover initial defects within 5 days of receipt, such as the PC not powering on or Windows not starting.
