This is a piece of fabric made from a checkered pattern and indigo-dyed plain cotton. It was originally a futon. The checkered pattern is sewn with four widths, and the plain indigo fabric is sewn with five widths. The indigo plain fabric uses cloth of different shades. There are several small holes, as shown in image 9. Both the checkered and plain fabrics are old cotton and are sturdy. They have a good texture and are thick. The checkered fabric has a texture similar to Tanba fabric, but it's uncertain. As shown in image 13, threads are coming out from the selvedge of the fabric.
