This is an old tea caddy found while cleaning out my parents' house. Judging from its appearance, it's likely Kabazaiku (cherry bark craft) from Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture. It can be used as a tea caddy, of course, but also as an antique container for small items. The size is approximately 7.5 cm in diameter and 8 cm in height (self-measured). The inside of the tea caddy is made of iron and shows some rust and dirt. Please check the photos before considering a purchase. I am also listing several other kitchen items with a Showa era feel.
