It's a semi-automatic type, with a door that was supposed to close automatically, but it no longer closes automatically due to damage to the connection. It also wobbles when opened, so it needs to be leaned against something. It functions perfectly as a guard, aside from the opening and closing mechanism. I've forgotten the manufacturer, but it was purchased as a set from DLD at the time of installation. There are no instructions.
