This is a set of 10 versatile bowls featuring hand-painted floral patterns and a beautiful blue-to-purple drip glaze. They are approximately 15cm in diameter, lightweight, and have a pleasant feel on the lips. They can be used for a variety of dishes, such as ochazuke (tea and rice), small donburi (rice bowls), simmered dishes, and udon noodle bowls. The foot of each bowl is hand-marked with "Shin Hana" (New Flower). These are likely not mass-produced transferware, but rather pieces from an artist or studio.
