This is a small size kobukusa (tea cloth) used during tea ceremonies, such as the color paper point for Chabako (tea box) or Gosho-kago (imperial basket). Note: Approximately 12cm x 13cm in size. It's about two sizes smaller (3cm around) than a regular kobukusa, so it's perfect as a coaster for matcha tea bowls, regardless of the school of tea. ❤️ 【Dimensions】 With the "wa" (the folded edge) on the right: Width 13.2cm x Height 12.2cm. Made from a pattern, but please allow for slight variations. 【Sewing Method】 Three sides are sewn, and the short side is the "wa" (folded edge). ❤️ Since it's new, there are no creases in the center. When folding in half, place the "wa" on the right, choose your preferred side as the front, and fold it in half. 【Fabric】 Pure silk. A very elegant and lovely "Kyo-zome Bingata" (Kyoto-dyed Bingata). The depiction of a cityscape dyed in soft pastel colors on a pink background conveys the "Kyoto-ness." Just looking at it makes you feel "hannari" (mellow and refined). The material is provided from cut fabric from unused, uncut bolts.
