I am a woman, and I bought an XL size because I wanted to wear it oversized, but it was bigger than I expected and I couldn't wear it well. There are no noticeable stains, but there may be some pilling characteristic of fleece that I haven't noticed. I haven't been doing any activities that involve vigorous movement, such as sports. I will fold it up small for shipping.
