This is 10 skeins of Tokoma thread. Each skein is 1.27 meters around the frame and wound 2000 times. I purchased it from Kyoto for 42,700 yen per kilogram. I believe the thickness is around 28/6, and I was weaving it with a whale 60-round osame (sett). For the warp, I think it's better to use about 1320 threads, whereas people usually use around 1250 (as there will be shrinkage, it's better to use thread that is 1.05 to 1.08 times the length). Because the twist is strong, after dyeing, I was drying it on a skein winder while it was still wet. The finished fabric will be a crisp, thin material.
