Vehicle number markings and affiliation markings are provided with a lettering sheet. ● New front sabo receiver and destination display stickers. ● Handrails, signal flares, and steps are separate parts. ● Can run on R370 curved track with two or more car formations. ★ About this vehicle (from the manufacturer's website) The Series 40 electric train was manufactured by the Ministry of Railways, the predecessor of Japanese National Railways, from 1932 to 1942. It was the first steel-bodied old-style electric train to adopt 20-meter-class, 3-door, long seats. These trains appeared in conjunction with the electrification of the Katamachi Line between Shijo-Tsuzura and Katamachi in Osaka, and were subsequently manufactured as standard electric trains in the Tokyo and Osaka areas, with over 400 vehicles produced over 11 years. Design changes and modifications were repeated during the long manufacturing period, resulting in various forms even within the same group. In response to the demand for a more complete HO gauge product lineup, KATO is re-releasing the JNR Series 40 electric train, including the <Kumoha 40> and the <Kumoha 41 + Kuha 55 2-car set>, with improvements.
