This is a rice container made of paulownia wood called kirihaco from Masuda Paulownia Box Store. It can hold up to 5kg of rice. It's very convenient because the lid is transparent, making it easy to see the contents, and a one-go (180ml) measuring cup can be attached to the underside of the lid with magnets, preventing the cup from getting buried in the rice. I purchased it about a year ago for around 8,000 yen. Please note that there are some minor chips, and due to the natural wood, there are variations in color and some areas may be slightly darkened (see the last two photos). Also, as I used "Kome Touban" (rice insect repellent) for pest control, some odor may remain, so please be aware of this as well.
