It's made of cotton, is cool and cute, and I thought it would be great for getting through the scorching heat, but since it's black, it was too hot to wear, and I haven't worn it since. Maybe it's okay if you're not someone who gets hot easily? The fabric has a fine pattern. It tends to attract dust. It has a lining, pockets on both sides, and a string to cinch the waist.
