SG Standard ’61 Translucent Teal In 1961, the Les Paul Standard underwent a complete overhaul of its specifications, resulting in the birth of the model that became the prototype for the SG model design we are familiar with today. Following the original design of the time, it features a mahogany neck with a Slim Taper neck shape and a rosewood fingerboard with binding. The shape retains a moderate thickness, contributing to a rich resonance and clarity. It also boasts high playability, making it a very popular neck profile. The mahogany body features aesthetically deep body scarfing, a 5-ply early 60s small pickguard, and a neck joint at the 22nd fret, all true to historical specifications. Equipped with vintage-inspired parts such as nickel-plated hardware and an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. The color is a special Translucent Teal.
