"No noticeable scratches or stains: There may be scratches or stains that are only noticeable upon close inspection." This is what it means. How much you need to look closely to notice something varies from person to person, but in my subjective opinion, this includes: Pilling, fuzzing, unraveling threads less than 3 cm, stains less than 5 mm (or not limited to 5 mm if the stain is light), tears less than 3 mm (excluding the knee area of pants), fading, wrinkles. I may list items with these issues, or items without these issues, as "no noticeable scratches or stains."
