While not quite a muscle back, it offers a soft feel characteristic of forged irons when struck in the sweet spot. This model is now discontinued. I felt that the fire express shaft had similar characteristics to the DG shaft. I think the feel is consistent. Although the series is still in production, this pattern is also discontinued and is rare. The grips show signs of use but are still usable.
