This is a clean booster, RIFT EL34, that I built myself, referencing the layout that was published online as a hobby several years ago. The parts are all currently available for purchase. Regarding the sound, I can't say for sure since I don't own the real thing, but it boosts the original sound without distortion even when increasing the output with the level and boost knobs. ★However, there is a popping noise when the effect is turned on. The circuit is point-to-point wiring and true bypass. It cannot be battery-powered. Please use a center-negative 9V adapter. ★Please note that it will not work with a center-positive adapter. The enclosure is aluminum die-cast. The paint has some peeling and unevenness. To reiterate, this was made as a hobby, so I cannot guarantee the sound quality or operation.
