We have checked for scratches, etc., but please understand that there may be oversights. ■ Author's Introduction Shinmin Sakamura Born in Kumamoto Prefecture on January 6, 1909 (Meiji 42). At the age of 20, he entered the tutelage of Naoshichiro Okano and devoted himself to tanka poetry. At the age of 40, he turned to poetry and founded the personal poetry magazine "Persona" (currently "Shikoku"), and devoted himself to the fulfillment of his poetic aspirations. His poetic aspiration is the Shikoku Fusen. His published works include the collection of poems "Ishibue," the selected poems "Selected Poems of Shinmin Sakamura," "Hoki," "Shikoku Dai-isshu," and the collection of poems and Buddhist statue photographs "Buddhas are Like the Wind, Like Flowers," and the essay collection "If You Pray, Flowers Bloom," etc. He passed away in December 2006.
