Antique furisode (long-sleeved kimono) and nagajuban (undershirt) set. This is a very luxurious furisode with an all-over pattern depicting ancient crepe (chirimen) with treasures and a multi-storied building. It can be used for coming-of-age ceremonies and weddings (bridal wear). Unlike modern ready-made products, this is a rare, one-of-a-kind item. The kimono has beni-silk (red silk) for the collar lining, sleeve lining, and body lining. Cotton is inserted in the hem. The juban is a two-layered garment. A pattern of flying cranes on waves is applied to the fabric. Both the kimono and juban are old, so there are some stains and scratches as shown in the images, but they are in good condition for antique items.
