Takano watches were only sold for 4 years and 11 months before the company changed its name to Ricoh Watch Co., Ltd. in 1962, and it was later called a phantom watchmaker. However, in the beginning, RICOH did not have its own movements, cases, or dials. Therefore, they used parts, machine tools, and molds that were spared from damage, and assembled them into products with the RICOH name and sold them. In the early transition from TAKANO to RICOH, there were RICOH Chateau calendars equipped with TAKANO movements, and conversely, Chateau calendars equipped with movements stamped with RICOH. This watch is a RICOH-stamped Chateau calendar, making it a more valuable product. It is a 20-micron gold-plated watch, slightly large and powerful, with a luxurious feel. ● The crystal is in good condition with no noticeable scratches. The dial has some dirt from 7 to 10 o'clock, but there are no missing indexes. The gold-colored hands, bar indexes, and case create a good antique atmosphere. The case also has no noticeable damage, and the markings are still clear. ● When listing, I checked the operation and it is running well when the crown is turned. The daily rate was about 30 seconds to 1 minute after 24 hours of flat placement. ● There may be scratches and dirt that cannot be fully captured in the photos.
