Kyoto-ware and Kiyomizu-ware artist Shoko Kato made this April tea bowl featuring cherry blossoms. This item was carefully stored by my mother, who loved the tea ceremony. The tea bowl has a calm, pale gray glaze with carefully painted cherry blossom designs incorporating gold accents, making it a very tasteful bowl that symbolizes a spring tea ceremony.
